National Chocolate Cake Day: Easy Chocolate Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 3/4 Cups All Purpose Flour |
| 2 Cups Sugar |
| 3/4 Cup Baking Cocoa |
| 1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Powder |
| 1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Soda |
| 2 Eggs |
| 1 Cup Milk |
| 1 1/2 Cups Vegetable or Olive Oil |
| 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract |
| 1 Teaspoon Salt |
| 1 Cup Boiling Water |
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your over to 350 degrees F.
- 2. Grease and flour two 9" cake pans. If you want to save time, get the spray cans designed for baking.
- 3. Mix together the dry ingredients.
- 4. Slowly add all the wet ingredients except for the water. Stir with a hand or stand mixer for 3 minutes.
- 5. Slowly pour in the boiling water. The batter should look a bit thin.
- 6. Divide the cake mix between your two pans. Bake in the oven for 30 - 35 minutes.
