Celebrations in the Month of MarchPrint
March is such an exciting month. It comes in like a lion and we hope it goes out like a lamb. It's the month when spring finally arrives and we can break out of the indoors and begin to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. A lot more goes on in March than just spring and St. Patty's Day. Let's see what other occasions you can celebrate if you feel the need for a party or a get together.
Monthly Celebrations for March
If you are a proud parent of a straight A student you may be interested in knowing that it is Honor Society Awareness Month. You might want to plan a special dinner or an outing for the scholar in your family. Follow this up with National March to College Month when your senior should be seriously considering which college to attend.
Many of us would benefit from a seminar or lecture on how to Improve Management Skills Month. You could find a speaker in your area and convince friends to attend with you then go out for some coffee and cake afterwards. As would be expected it is Irish American Month and for those that like their fancy tickled it is International Mirth Month. No need to wait for April Fools day for pranks and jokes.
For ladies that hate to cook you will be pleased to know that March is National Frozen Food Month. So rev up your microwave and put your aprons away while you celebrate this month long occasion. In getting ready for April Showers that Bring May Flowers why not observe National Umbrella Month?
Weekly Celebrations in March
How about Celebrating Universal Women's week which runs from March 8th to the 14th? Here is a good one, National Toad Hollow Week which is from March 14th to 21st. I am unsure of what you should do, but maybe the kids will know. National Anonymous Giving Week from the 18th through the 24th doesn't mean you have to give material things, but perhaps some of your time to help those less fortunate.
The great state of Texas wants you to Go Nuts Over Texas Peanuts week which is from the 18th to the 24th. With our ecology in such a fragile state, don't forget to observe National Wildlife Week which is during the third week of March and National Agriculture Week to give farmers a thumbs up which runs from the `18th to the 24th. To help get you motivated for Spring cleaning, observe National Clutter Awareness Week from the 19th to the 25th followed by National Cleaning Week from the 25th to the 31st.
March is a time when we look forward to the warmer months ahead and look to put the gloomy winter months behind us. Find an occasion and have a party to shake the colder months off and get ready for spring.
