Looking for ways to entertain kids at your outdoor wedding? While many of us love children, they sometimes need distractions at long social events, especially weddings. We have almost all been to a wedding where children were out of hand or just not cared for, which can leave adults feeling especially uncomfortable at an outdoor wedding since they feel someone should be responsible for the children. Rather than leaving kids to run crazy during your outdoor wedding you may want to consider having fun activities for children at the reception area, allowing them to have fun while adults enjoy the main event. You may even just be surprised at how easy it is create the perfect entertainment for kids at an outdoor wedding!
Have a Craft Area
It is quite common for children to have their own table at the reception, but sometimes it can be difficult to encourage them to stay at the kids' table. Rather than just trying to keep kids busy with bubbles and little activities, consider having a craft table with special activities going throughout the wedding and party after. Having children make jewelry, little wooden craft kits, or even cute photo holders for the bride and groom to display their wedding pictures after the big event can keep their imagination engaged and their attention focused. Kids will love having the opportunity to make unique gifts that they can give the bride and groom to open later! Not only will it keep kids busy, but they will look forward to showing off all their unique creations!
Hire an Entertainer
Over the past few years, more couples have been hiring entertainers for children at their wedding. These entertainers can include clowns, puppeteers, or even costumed characters. While this option can get pricy if you aren't careful, it is something many kids will love, especially if you have children of your own involved in the wedding. Just make sure you are clear about the ages of the children who will be attending, what you are expecting the entertainers to do, and how long they will be at your reception. You may even be able to get a quick picture of you with your child's favorite character while in your wedding dress, creating an adorable wedding picture of you and the child(ren) at your wedding.
Sometimes one of the best ways to keep kids busy is by making sure they are physically active. If your outdoor wedding is a bit more casual, consider renting activities for the kids, such as bouncers and inflatable slides. These activities are relatively inexpensive if they are rented for only the time of the reception and allow kids to have fun while adults enjoy the wedding reception and socializing themselves. Just make sure to tell parents to bring an extra set of clothes if kids will also be attending the actual wedding ceremony as well. This will make sure children look perfect for pictures but are also able to have a good time later when they are playing outdoors with new little friends!
Are you planning on bringing your kids to the beach this summer? While the beach can be a lot of fun, it can also be very overwhelming for children. Not only is there a huge ocean to play in, but lots of people coming and going. To make sure that your trip is as stress free as possible, it is important that you plan out the day, making sure that kids are having as much fun as possible and not getting bored or overwhelmed. Luckily, with the right plans, you can keep kids busy with a variety of fun beach activities!
Build A Sand Castle
If it is your child's first time to the beach, building a sand castle is a must! Children love being able to work with friends or even their parents to create a fun sand castle that they can show off to all their friends. Before going to the beach, remember to bring at least a bucket, shovel, and any sculpting tools you think you will need for building your special castle. Just make sure to bring a waterproof camera too since the water and other people can accidentally damage a sand castle before you have the time to get your cellphone or a proper camera from the car. Kids will love to look at their special creation once they are home from the beach, preserving the memory with a fun picture!
While swimming is one thing that many kids love, many of them don't want to stay in the water all day. For younger kids, playing fun beach ball games is almost a must. You can do anything ranging from simple volleyball to playing kick ball on the beach. Since beach balls come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and designs, you can find the perfect one for your children. You can even find colorful, animated character beach balls, making kids even more excited to get up and play! For older kids, don't forget about other traditional games, depending on what is available at that beach, possibly including volleyball, basketball, frisbee golf or more! Just make sure to check online to see what your intended beach offers before arriving.
Exploring The Beach
Do you have a child that is curious about nature and everything around them? You can use this curiosity to your advantage by having children learn about the beach itself by collecting sea shells, looking at fish, and even various plants that live in the ocean. While it isn't recommended to take fish and animals from the beach itself, you can bring home empty seashells and other little items collected from the beach itself. Kids will love being able to go home and show their friends all the neat things they collected during their trip to the beach!

Planning a special Paris themed birthday party? For many parents, nothing is more frustrating than planning a party for their tween or teenager. Many girls want a girly birthday party, but they don't want a childish party. This can seem to limit options for some parents. Yet, most girls dream on going to a romantic trip to Paris and being able to see sights like the Eiffel tower for themselves. With how much girls love Paris, why not have a Paris themed birthday party? You may even be surprised at just how easy it is to make one of these parties!
Dress Up In Parisian Style
When many girls think of Paris, they first and foremost think of the Eiffel tower, and fashion. Any good Paris party will be sure to incorporate both. Getting the fashion side of things, however, can be tricky. For tweens, the best way to do this can be having girls come pretending to be runway models, or playing dress up with their favorite costumes. You can even add some flare to the party with sparkly hats that are perfect for any little diva. It may even be fun to let girls have their own Paris style fashion show for both their parents and friends. The trick is letting older girls feel special and dress up for the event.
Paris Themed Decorations
What is the most important display you can have at a Paris birthday party? The Eiffel tower, of course! This can be as simple as cardboard centerpieces that look like the Eiffel tower, or getting replicas of the tower that you can find at some stores. It doesn't matter if its paper, metal, or even plastic - it is important for bringing together any Paris party. Once you have that, you can add other decorations to bring the party together, such as pennant banners or even making sure all the gifts are hidden away in special Paris gift bags. If you are having smaller children at the party, don't forget to also have decorations that they can enjoy as well - more traditional party elements like balloons.
Food For Your Paris Party
While many people think of Paris for the Eiffel tower and fashion, it is also known for its wonderful cuisine. For any person who dreams of a trip to Paris, it is important that you bring a taste of Paris to their birthday party. Have Paris themed dishes or even pastries for them to enjoy with their guests. Your tween or teenager will truly feel special and like an adult with a fancy, grown-up style meal at their party. Of course, that doesn't mean you can't also have traditional birthday party food, like cake or cupcakes. Just make sure to dress up any cupcakes for the occasion, with Eiffel tower cupcake picks and special cupcake cups for your special Paris birthday party!
